I ended up down a YouTube rabbit hole the other day, but this time I was grateful for it. I stumbled on a documentary that takes the viewer through the streets of 19th century Hong Kong (or Victoria, as the city was once known). It’s incredibly detailed, with photos sourced from a couple of photography books and maps published in the 1800s.
If you’re not a history person – or Hong Kong person – move along. Nothing to see here. But if you are, then this is a real treat.
